He is a proud man who prefers to project an image of superiority in all things generally. Any flaws or weaknesses he either conceals as best as he can or threatens (mostly for comic relief) those who might even mention having a weakness such as his motion sickness.
He also has a bit of a sadist streak to him. A trait most clearly demonstrated during the punishment game after the Grand Magic Tournament where he forced Natsu to go out and bring him bread from a bakery only to then state how the bread was not the type he wanted before sending Natsu off on another trip just because he wanted to see him sweat.
There is nothing he won't do for his guild. If they are insulted and hurt by others, he will take vengeance in their name if he has the opportunity. This naturally extends to anyone who has earned his friendship or affection. He always cared for his guild but at first this was more focused on the image the rest of the world had of the guild. As such any offense or disaster caused by its members was an attack on HIS guild. Luckily this mentality has changed and has turned Laxus into a much better man.
He is intelligent and an excellent judge of character both traits he partially inherited from his grandfather. However he still has very little respect for those he meets at first unless they make a good first impression either with their prowess or character. His manner of speech is also very casual and informal. He has no qualms in calling his enemies garbage during a fight or even after he has bested them.
He is also a little bit awkward when it comes to more emotional situations such as the first master crying when she took blame for Laxus' father falling to evil. He said that comforting the spirit was a hurdle too high to overcome for him.

Laxus's guild emblem is similar to a tattoo emblazoned on left side of his chest and is surrounded by a large secondary pattern, which reaches up to his left shoulder and covers part of the corresponding upper back.
□ Abilities/Powers: Laxus has show to be quite masterful in the use of Lightning Magic. This magic allows him to produce and control lightning at his whim, using it to boost his physical attacks as well as his speed.
He can produce lightning in any circumstance, so it is clearly not reliant on the weather or the elements. He also uses the lightning to blind his enemies with bright flashes leaving them open to a devastating counter follow up attack.
There are several techniques he uses while utilizing this magic.
Raging Bolt:
After raising his fist and chanting "Resounding through the air, the roar of thunder, plunge from the heavens and reap destruction!". He causes a large bolt of lightning to strike his target from the heavens.
Lightning Body:
Due to his mastery of Lightning Magic, Laxus is capable of transforming his own body into electricity, turning himself into a lightning bolt whose size can vary from mere, fast-moving sparks to large pillars of lightning.
Since Lightning magic is an elemental magic he also has the perk of intangibility while in this form which means both physical and magical attacks can pass through him without harming him.

His electricity in this form is off the charts to the point that it even affected the electrical systems of a giant airship during the Tenrou Island incident The only downside of this form is the fact that he must stay in motion to maintain it.
Lightning Eruption:
This technique involves Laxus generating lightning from the very ground to electrocute his targets and throw them up into the air several meters should it connect.
Lightning Flash:
A defensive technique which utilizes the natural light and sound of lightning to create something similar to a flashbang which either allows Laxus to close in for an attack or make his escape.
Thunder Bullets:
Laxus creates a sphere of lightning from his palms which then shoots out a barrage of small but destructive lightning orbs that when focused on a single target can cause an explosion to blow away his enemy.

Another straightforward technique. Laxus channels a great ammount of lightning ito his fist and then punches the ground with the charge, causing a large explosion.
Lightning Dragon Slayer Magic:
To be precise, Laxus is a second generation Dragon Slayer. The difference comes from the fact that he was not born or trained as a dragon slayer however he was turned into one by his father who implanted him with a Lightning Dragon Lachryma under the pretext of Laxus's body being too frail in childhood. Despite being a Second Generation Dragon Slayer, Laxus exhibits all of the benefits and downsides of a Dragon Slayer.
Enhanced sense of smell is one of them. He may also eat lightning from sources other than his own magic to replenish stamina and magical power or even temporarily heal his wounds. This naturally means lightning is completely ineffective against him and will only add to his power.
However in exchange he suffers from severe motion sickness when riding vehicles. This is something he is particularly ashamed of.
When using his Dragon Slayer abilities, Laxu's body becomes even more muscular and his skin takes on scale like patterns over his arms.
He has several notable techniques in this form:

This attack also carries a special effect for targets that remain intact after taking the technique in full. It induces a moderate level of paralysis leaving the enemy numb and ripe for a follow up attack from Laxus.

Laxus creates a giant Chinese halberd shaped charge of lightning between his upwards facing palms and then throws it at the enemy. This has been confirmed to be a spell powerful enough to kill even a dragon Slayer like Natsu however it has been proven to be prone to misdirection if sufficient metal is present in the vicinity.
Lightning Dragon's Breakdown Fist
This technique requires Laxus to gather a large charge of lightning around one fist. He then bends arm and punches forward regardless of whether the target is within range or not. The reason is that the moment the motion is completed, a seal appears over his fist and a larger replica of his punch made entirely of lightning is launched at his opponent. This induces a temporary stun that allows Laxus to pile on the pain without worry about a potential counter attack.

After knocking the target to the ground, Laxus draws in close, joins his hands and channels a great amount of his lightning into the joined hands and then strikes a hammer like blow against his downed enemy damaging them grievously and causing an enormous crater around the two combatants.
Roaring Thunder:
Laxus lunges viciously towards his opponent and delivers a lightning imbued punch with devastating force.
Thought Projection Magic:
Laxus is able to project an intangible yet faithful image of himself over large distances without having to reveal himself or put his safety at risk.
Fairy Law:
This spell is one of the Guild's three great magics. Fairy Law manifests first as a ball of purifying light being created between Laxus's clenched hands. The ball is then crushed between his two open palms and the light explodes outwards with destructive force that only affects those who Laxus truly deems as enemies to himself or the guild.
Master Hand to Hand Combatant:
While highly proficient in using his magic, Laxus is by no means an amateur in close quarters combat. He has proven time and time again that he is able to hold his ground against powerful opponents like Natsu and Gajeel (Both at the same time even) even without employing his lightning or Dragon Slayer magic.
His fighting style is one primarily focused on strength and overpowering his opponent with a mix of punches, kicks and even headbutting all delivered with startling speed and and fluency that overwhelms the opponent. This is further amplified by the use of his lightning magic by creating orbs around his arms and legs before the strike can connect thus enhancing the damage even further.
Immense Magic Power: Laxus magic level puts him on the level of a prodigy of sorts. It manifests physically through electricity that can appear from his body with various intensity. Sometimes it can even be likened to a destructive aura that can damage the surrounding area if he is enraged enough
Should his anger reach even higher levels lightning begins to spark from his eyes and mouth. His large magic capacity also allowed him to resist Mystogan's sleep Magic which is capable of putting down the entire guild except for Master Makarov.
He has also proven to be able to break out of high level illusion magic after reading past the mirage cast around him. He then nullifies it with a strong discharge of electricity.
Immense Durability: Laxus has shown time and time again that he is very resilient to damage, emerging out of blows that sent him flying without having so much as a scratch on him.
Even without using his Dragon Slayer magic he was able to hold off two other other Dragon Slayers with ease.
Recently he has also used his Dragons Slayer magic reinforced lungs to try and suck in all of the poisoned particles filling the town he was in. According to the healers, he absorbed so much of the poison that any normal human would have died from even a fraction of the dose.
Enhanced Strength: Laxus is capable of overpowering even those as strong as Natsu or Erza both who are well known in the guild for their great strength.
Immense Endurance: Laxus has exhibited feats of great stamina and endurance. He has managed to keep fighting continously during the climax of the Fairy Festival, going up against powerhouses such as Mystogan, Erza, Natsu and then the tag team combination of Natsu and Gajeel. Despite all of that he never once ran out of energy, using large scale spells in quick succession before he finally lost his mind temporarily which led to his ultimate defeat at the time.
During the final battle against Hades he passed on all of his magical power to Natsu which is an extremely risky and dangerous maneuver however while he was drained at that moment in time he was able to recover in time to contribute to the final attack against the enemy guild master.
Enhanced Reflexes: Laxus has displayed extremely sharp reflexes and a high degree of speed and agility. He has proven capable of evading a combinations attack from two two other Dragon Slayer where one used fire to boost the others attack speed.
Shortly after that he was able to hold and parry both of their fast attacks and hit them right back with even more force.
During the battle with Hades he was also able to react to the Magic chains, narrowly avoiding getting grabbed by the spell before dodging a large globe of dark magic thrown at him.
His speed also allowed him to single-handedly demolish the top fighters of his father's guild after they tried to gang up on him. It also played a huge part in taking down Tempesta in the recent arc without letting the fabled demon from the book of Zeref get even a single hit on him.

Lets get this over with. I'm Laxus and in case you haven't you figured it out yet, I'm new in this pain in the neck of a place. Though I guess I can't complain for them patching me up...Whatever. You don't give a damn about what I got to say most likely so I'll keep this short. Has anyone seen people with a mark like this anywhere on their body?

The last thing he remembered was pain, his chest bursting and groaning as the magic eroding particles flooded his system, eating away at his body from the inside. Still he had to do it. The others were in danger as was the whole town of innocent civilians.
When darkness took him, the last thing he expected to wake up to was some stuffy suit wearing company guy. He listened to the vague explanation and soon enough they let him loose. His whole body felt surprisingly vigorous at the moment. A stark contrast to how it had been what felt like only mere minutes prior.
He walked out of the Re-Education center and regarded the impressive architecture around him with some faint interest before turning his eyes back to street level. He reached around and felt at the back of his head for any scars he might have earned however he couldn't find a single sign of any incision or anything. If that chip thing was true then these people were really good at covering their tracks. Honestly what was it with things getting implanted in his body without any real consent. First the Lightning Dragon Lachryma and now this chip in his brain. Speaking of the Lachryma he needed to test something out again.

He would try frying the damn thing in his head by channeling electricity all throughout his body. Yeah it would hurt like a bitch but if he broke their little toy, he would gladly endure that pain.
But for that he would need his powers. Something which he had no idea where to start with. Regardless he wasn't going to get any answers now and he had to do something about that unbearable heat. Which in turn meant he had to find his room and lock himself in there while he 'dealt' with the problem one way or another.

The climb itself was uneventful and finding his room was a cinch given he had the number on his key. What he found inside his standard room certainly did not serve to endear him to Ariel all that much. However when he started looking around the place he quickly found the few gifts he'd been given. The first was waiting for him in the closet. There he found his familiar fur trimmed coat as well as a few spare sets of clothes for his regular outfit. However that paled in comparison to finding his music player and the headphones. Strangely enough there was a manual with them now. He wasn't in a hurry to read through that. He was just happy to hear the rock tunes blaring into his ears once again. That was exactly what the doctor ordered really and for a brief moment, he actually didn't mind being in Ariel all that much. Of course that wasn't going to last long even by his standards. But for now he could actually calm down enough to start thinking about what to do next.
